Entry
1Entry is open to Red and Blue Review podcast members. Entry costs £20 per person, payable by bank transfer (details provided on registration).
2Your entry is not confirmed until payment has been received and verified by the Committee. You will receive a confirmation email once your place is secured.
3A maximum of 100 players will be accepted. Places are allocated strictly on a first-paid, first-confirmed basis.
4Late joiners are welcome provided places remain and entry is received on or before 25 June 2026. Late joiners receive automatic 5-5 scores for all fixtures played before their confirmation date.
5Entry fees are non-refundable once the competition has started (11 June 2026). Refunds before the start date are at the Committee's discretion.
Fixture Predictions
6Fixtures are released in batches via email, one week before the first fixture in each batch.
7Predictions are submitted via your unique personal competition link (in your confirmation email). Keep it secure — do not share it.
8Predictions must be submitted before the deadline: 1 hour before the first kick-off in each batch.
9Once the deadline passes, predictions are locked and cannot be changed under any circumstances.
10You may update predictions any time before the deadline. Only your final submission counts.
11Missed predictions are automatically assigned a score of 5-5 for each fixture missed.
12Only the Competition Admin can see your individual predictions. All submissions are stored securely.
Scoring
Points per fixture
3Exact correct score (e.g. you predicted 2–1, result was 2–1)
1Correct result only — right Win/Draw/Loss, wrong score
0Wrong result (and wrong score)
13A 3-point correct score already includes the 1-point result reward. Maximum per fixture: 3 points. You cannot earn both.
14For knockout matches going to extra time or penalties: scoring is based on the 90-minute score only.
15Missed predictions (auto-assigned 5-5) count as a Draw and will almost certainly score 0 points.
Examples
| Result | Your Prediction | Points | Why |
| England 2–1 France | 2–1 | ✅ 3 pts | Exact score |
| England 2–1 France | 1–0 | ✔️ 1 pt | Correct result, wrong score |
| England 2–1 France | 2–2 | ❌ 0 pts | Predicted draw |
| England 2–1 France | 0–3 | ❌ 0 pts | Predicted France win |
| England 2–1 France | 5–5 (missed) | ❌ 0 pts | Auto-filled draw |
Tiebreakers
16If two or more players are equal on total points, the following tiebreakers are applied in order:
Tiebreaker 1 — Correct Results
The player with the higher count of correct result predictions (Home Win / Draw / Away Win) ranks higher.
Tiebreaker 2 — Goal Difference Formula
Total goals across correctly predicted matches minus total goals across incorrectly predicted matches. A higher number ranks higher. This rewards precise predictions — getting 1-0 right is better than 5-4 right.
Tiebreaker 3 — Shared Position
If players remain tied after both tiebreakers, they share the position and any prize money is split equally.

17The prize fund is 50% of all entry income. With 100 players: £2,000 total → £1,000 prize fund.
